I've just bought an away ticket for or quarter final against the Mickeys.
It's my first away game in a while and I can only make it as i will be in Liverpool anyway that week.
Can anyone who goes away regularly tell me if tickets for away games are posted out as paper tickets or are they emailed as digital tickets? and if they are posted, how close to the fixture date are they sent out?
I've just realised that if they are posted out there's a chance i might already have travelled to Liverpool before it arrives!
I got a couple of away tickets in the ballot for Liverpool last season. They were paper tickets went about week before.
I think if you don't have tickets you just ring the club and ask for duplicates and you can collect them at the ground on the day. Did that for Man U in the cup last year. Just have to show ID.
If they are paper tickets then you could call up the club a day or two before and tell them the tickets haven't arrived in the post - on the basis that you haven't received them by the time you leave for Liverpool. The club should then arrange for you to pick up duplicate tickets at the Liverpool ticket office as there will be no time to arrange new ones to be sent out.
Its happened to me a few times and it's always been easy to sort out. You just need ID and if they are in your name then you won't have a problem.
